Bangkok days: 1/1 2014 Wat Phra Si Ratana Sasadaram or Temple of Emerald Buddha

Celebrating New Year in Thailand !

The roads are not that busy, some malls are closed and only few people are roaming around the street.
Holiday ? Rest day ? That's what I thought
When we went to the Emerald Buddha , the crowds are there.
And for that day no need to pay the entrance fee.

The entrance

Outside the Temple

It's really hard to smile on that weather.
It's almost like summer there .
i didn't have a chance to take any pictures in the inside of Emerald Buddha
since it is not allowed.

Clothing tips:
no shorts, no mini-skirts,no leggings,
in short you need to cover up yourself but don't wear any fit clothes.
Just in case you are not prepared you can rent proper clothes outside the temple.

How to get there:
Always ride a taxi that is provided by your hotel staff.
It will only cost around 100 baht
Others would charge you 200, some would say that the road is closed and you they can only drop you off in a place far from there and you need to ride a boat to get there
( taxi drivers will earn commissions by doing this)

So be careful and have fun
