Bangkok Days: Wat Arun / Temple of Dawn

One of the best place I visited in Thailand, though it is quite tricky if you're going there.
If you're going to go there via taxi please make sure it is metered and they would drop you in the right place. But just to be sure, ask for a taxi from your hotel.

Wat Arun can be easily accessed through the Chao Phraya River, and ferries travel across the river towards the Maharaj pier. For the foreigners, the temple charges an entrance fee of 50 baht (as of March 2013). Wat Arun figures in one of Thailand's most colourful festivals, the Royal Kathin and the king travels down in the Thai royal barge procession to present new robes to the monks after their three-month lent period.- Wikipedia

Once you got there you will be riding a boat to get to the Wat Arun, make sure to wear comfy clothes and don't wear heels.

Pics:

We went there early since we will be going to the palace right after.

There are for rent costumes you can choose, 150baht-250 baht.
It depends on what store did you choose, for us we chose the 1st one because of the crown and the place has the perfect background for the pictures.

the 2nd for rent shop :)

one of the reasons why you must not wear heels :3

It was scary at first but worth it since you could see the best view of Thailand there at the top.
This is the entrance and the exit is at the back, once you step up you cant back down since you will be dizzy. The exit which is at the other side is much safer, you can easily go down.

Enjoy :)
