Bangkok days: New year's Countdown + shopping

                                              ヾ(●⌒∇⌒●)ノ
Dec 31 2013

Hours before New Year's eve and Bangkok is already preparing for the countdown. Arnoma Hotel staffs has also started making preparations as early as 8 in the morning.

 But before shopping we wen to super rich to have our currency change. Super Rich is like the best money changer there compare to the others. It is located 2 blocks from our hotel.

Once we're done, we're off to Terminal 21 to buy my most wanted gadget ever since.
Tuktuk are one of the main transportation there but they will charge you really high unless you accept the deal. The deal is that they will bring you to their sponsor or some gem's and souvenir shop, just stayed there for a couple of minutes while they get their free stamp in exchange of fuel. So yes, we tried the deal and besides it's like knowing the place better. Regular charge : THB 200, w/ deal: THB 50.

Gem's and souvenir shop

Too bad they don't have my birthstone. Buying gem's or diamonds can be an investment also for future use aside from wearing it.

After that we're finally off to Terminal 21 + gonna meet someone :3

Hello London

Istanbul floor

My fave Japan & China

                                                                     Hollywood <3

                                                                        San Francisco, I guess?

Any where my money goes ~
Instax <3

(will be making a review about unique siam for noona)

Terminal 21 is more likely an international mall. Every floors levels contains different countries, for example 2nd floor is London, 3rd floor is for Japan and so on. What I like about the mall is that the interior designs were base on the country that the floor represents. Trust me, you're gonna enjoy it here. ᵔᴥᵔ

Next Off to: Platinum (didn;t get any pictures)
Platinum is more like a fashion district and it's cheap. More Visual-kei and Thai fashions are available there.

                                            <【☯】‿【☯】>

Celebrating New Year's in Bangkok is a must try. In Singapore they celebrate it in Marina Bay, you could ride their mine boat like we did or just watch from afar. While in Bangkok, the countdown will be at the Central World, just in front of our hotel. Yep, very convenient.

But before that we went to Big C to buy some foods, while waiting for the countdown. At 6pm the roads are already have been blocked and the people starts to gather. Thai police are everywhere and the countdown party starts at 7pm or 8pm.

ヾ(●⌒∇⌒●)ノ and the countdown starts :3
Luckily, our hotel has the perfect view for the fireworks.
Wines and foods were also served before the countdown.

Bangkok Days : Day1 ( NAIA dilemma + Bangkok Airport tips)

(✿◠‿◠)
One of my favorite countries to travel is Bangkok. Yes, I've been to Hongkong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Macau, and Shenzhen in China. Bangkok is not really that tech-y compare to Singapore, they have a limited attractions only.They don't have any Disneyland, Ocean park nor Universal Studio.

But no worries Bangkok has its own charm and that is their historical sites. It's a place where you could find temples everywhere and not only that, people there really  respect their religion. More info about my travel will be posted soon, how we travel w/o any tour guide and we survive in the language barrier.

For the meantime, here's a short post about my 1st day or the travel day from Davao to Bangkok.
This is my second time in Bangkok and will be staying for 6 days.

Day 1,
Feeling sick , 2 days before our flight I was rushed at the Davao Doctors Hospital's emergency room and got 3 shots. Seriously , 1 shot to stop the pain and it didn't work and another 2 shots . But because my veins are not showing up they gave up the 4th shot, thankfully.  The best part was that I faced my fear about it and it was my first shot. Never thought that my ulcer will be saying hi to me 2 days before our flight ~.~

When it comes to international flights we preferred Philippine Airlines, you know the reason ^^.
But as usual, PAL is .............
Davao- Manila > Delayed
Manila-Bangkok > Delayed

NAIA Terminal 2 :
There's this guy who helped us. Actually we were rushing to transfer to transfer to the international departure area. And as usual we were quite lost, but luckily the guy who were with us in the elevator helped us.
Almost feels like a V.I.P from security check to the immigration.
Well~ To be honest I find him cute hahaha, he's an employee or an intern maybe who check your hand bags before going to the immigration. He helped be actually and got me a pen, or he is really like that. Too bad didn't get his name nor a pic with him :3

The BV part, once you're done with the immigration there is a security check. When I put my bags in the container the people who were charge on it got mad, since the container/tray was for a small bag only. Seriously my bag is small, and it has my laptop, DSLR, my lens and gadgets on it. And that bag is brand new + it a designers bag. Seriously I was disappointed by how they treat their customers, they didn't inform us in a friendly way but a rude manner. Etiquette was lost, customer service was gone and I hate them. I wonder how they treated foreigners or VIPs, or maybe they are just biased. My point is that, we are your customers please treat us in a nice way. Next time, I'll be taking pictures.

So yes, been travelling a lot. I have been to NAIA a lot and always staying in Terminal 2 but since then no progress, I mean the food stalls and the mini shopping stop are the same.
If I have a choice, Terminal 3 is the best you can choose a variety of foods there.

On board and another delay of 30 mins.

What I like about PAL is that they serve hot meals and fast.
But I was surprised that they are much faster than before, and oh I like the
Ice Cream for dessert rather than the brownies or etc..
~~~~~~~~~
Arrival in Bangkok: around 9pm there
Bangkok airport tip:
1st: If you want to go to the CR then do it once you arrived.
2nd: Don't take any pictures there, you need to get to the immigration very quick.
3rd: Ready your immigration stab/ the paper that you need to show in the immigration and your passport.
4th: Goodluck ! the line is really long.
5th: Once you're done, go to the CR first if you want
6th: Find your luggage
7th: Change you currency to Thai baht, but enough only for your transportation.
trust me the Dollar-Thai baht is not that great compare to the money changers outside.
8th: Go down bellow the airport, you can find metered taxi there and it is safe.
9th: Goodluck with the line again :)
10th: Don't forget the paper that was given to you
Enjoy and Have fun staying at Bangkok
Bangkok Days: Arnoma Hotel Bangkok Review
{◕ ◡ ◕}
When it comes to travelling you probably want to stay in a hotel that suits to your lifestyle.
Some people who want to relax only chose hotels that has spas, Jacuzzi, swimming pool, parlors and etc.
Backpackers are okay with a room only as long as it has a shower on it.
Some would like to stay in an apartment to save.
Well basically it really depend on your taste and budget, the important is you are comfortable.
In my case,I prefer to have a hotel with a hot & colds shower and a free breakfast. A hotel that is near to any shopping malls and very accessible for traveling. A simple room is okay since I would be out for most of the time and I would only be in the hotel when it is time to sleep.
Luckily in my case, I found a hotel that is quite a luxury but the price is worth it and that hotel is Arnoma Hotel ヾ(●⌒∇⌒●)ノ
A hotel that is REALLY near to the shopping malls, if you don't mind walking you can visit for like  5 malls near the area. it is also close by to the BTS station, you can choose either you'll ride in SIAM or Chitlom (very near to the hotel). Temples are also near and there is a near money changer.
For those who will be staying in Bangkok for the first time, this might be the best hotel for you.
right: the hotel
Money changer just near the hotel.
Oh and don't forget your passport ^^
~~~

This is my second time staying in this hotel but this is the first time that I booked a reservation directly to them.  http://www.arnoma.com/ or email them.
The cons: very difficult to communicate because of the language.
The pros: Freebies

٩(^‿^)۶

The insides, since we are on our budget.
Superior room is a must.

(our freebies: wifi and coupons)

When we arrive, hello sweets :3

We stayed here last Dec 30, 2013-Jan 6, 2014.
The accommodation was great, just to be safe please get your taxi
that the hotel will be providing for you since the wont overcharge.
Wifi is only good for 1 gadget only.
The breakfast is tempting from the start and almost the same everyday,
and since were staying for 6 days, the food is (◕︵◕)

One of the great service in the hotel is that they have a package tours
if you want to avail and you can ask for a free map from them.

Overall, the hotel is really convenient for the travelers.
The hotel is quite prices, but since it is near in tourist spots
you can save for transportation.
And in the evening there would be like a mini night market.

To: Arnoma
Thank you so much and see you again next time.
