Singapore 2016 - Mom's Birthday + Birthday treats from Sentosa (April 4)

Celebrated my mom's birthday at Sentosa.
Because of the unexpected trip to SG
birthday plans changed but it became more exciting.
Since I can bring 1 companion to the red carpet of The Huntsman
she managed to meet then and talk to them.
Her Happy Birthday card was also signed by the casts.

Birthday treats:

Festive Hotel hotel gave her a Birthday Cake.
Such a sweet treat from the hotel and I am thankful for the staffs there
who made this possible.



S.E.A Aquarium
They will give you a discount and a snack as a treat.


Universal Studios Singapore
Just present you passport and they will give you discount coupons.
Now what I love about this treat is the 15% retail discount.
It means you can shop a lot.
At first I thought it can only be used once but NOPE
you can use it as much as you want that day.
Exactly a treat .



So YES celebrating your Birthday or Birthmonth at Resorts World Sentosa is worth it.
Planning to celebrate my birthday here next time if possible :)

Festive Hotel at Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore [Review] #RWSentosa

Festive Hotel
Festive hotel is located at the center of Resort World Sentosa.
Actually all of hotels are located at the Imbiah station area
and also it is very near to the main attractions in Sentosa.
When I first entered the hotel I was shocked, there are lots of kids running and it was packed.
This is totally a family oriented hotel
The hotel has a pathways/ shortcuts that would lead you to the main attractions fast.
No need to ride the tram there.

They also have a restaurant there near the lobby .


  

Also below the basement is where the Casino is located and there are lots
of food shops there.


 Also there are lots of high end shops inside the hotel.
And there is a LEGGO store there. OMG
took this photo too early, the shops open around 10 am

The room is really comfortable
I mean the interior designs and colors are so welcoming.
It is almost comforting and it can relieve your stress.
I am not sure how to describe it but it is kinda relaxing.
It makes you feel zen. 

 The room is really big aside from the 2 beds it also has a sofa bed.
So I think this room is good for 2-4 persons.
The sofa bed is like a double size bed, not big tho but good for 2 persons.


Bathroom

They have the basic shower essentials there provided.
I am glad that they have a non slippery floor.
Like when you're done taking a shower, the floors gets slippery.
So yeah I am quite observant to the bathroom floors (am I the only one ^^? ).

When you turned on the TV, you will get a welcoming with your name on it.
I was shocked, it was my first time to see that kind of welcome.




For wifi you need to pay for it.
And you need to ask for the  password at the lobby.
They would gladly to assist you.

Breathtaking view outside.
And we are so lucky to got this room, it has the perfect view outside of the balcony.



For the pool,
from my mom's pov, she is a swimmer by the way
"The water is light."
Not sure how to explain that tho.
The place was cool, refreshing and relaxing.
Too bad when we went here it was our last day.
Next time, I want to stay here longer,

Birthday treats:

If it's your birthday, the hotel would give you a cake as a treat.

In my case what happened was I was doubting if this is true or not since
I've only read few blogs about this.
I asked the receptionist if they are still doing this and they say yes.
My mom's birthday was on April 4 and I managed to request this on April 3.
The problem is that you need to request this 3 days before the said date.
So i was kinda losing hope and I told them if is it possible on April 3 evening.
Since I am pretty sure we will be back from the premiere late.
They said they will try since they are not sure.

So after the premiere, got back to our room and was surprised that the cake was there.
The hotel was so nice to do this and a thumbs up to the staffs who made this possible.
We celebrated my mom's birthday that night at exactly 12:00am which is April 4 .

Thank you so much for the marvelous and pleasant stay at your hotel.
It was great indeed.
Planning to celebrate my birthday here or the next we will visit Singapore
we might stay here again :)

Singapore 2016 - Arrival and Sentosa trip: S.E.A Aquarium, Trick Eye Museum, Sentosa Merlion and Crane Dance ( April 2 2/2 )

Continuation of part1
So we bought 2 funpass that would allows us to enter the 3 attractions:
Merlion Park, SEA Aquarium, Trick Eye
+  also we got some Birthday month freebies

The weather ?
It was hot. Totally.
You can really feel the summer heat in Singapore.
Since we don't have enough time we chose the Sentosa Merlion first,
this is my 4th time to visit the Merlion in Sentosa
but I've never been inside.


Sentosa Merlion


Inside, there is a pathway that has lots of merpeople interior designs.
For mermaid lovers out there, this is for you.
My mom loves the decorations there since she collects mermaid figurines.
It gives you the under the sea feels.
Also wear light color tops for better pictures. 




When you reached the end of the pathway you will see a room,
it's like a mini movie cinema and you can watch the tale of Singapura there.

It tells the story of the Merlion and Singapore.
When it is finished, you can get a free souvenir (the golden coin above ^ ) in the next room.
And finally you can go up to see the view of Sentosa thru the mouth of the Merlion or head.





Next is the  SEA Aquarium.

I’ve been here before but I was shocked to see that there are lots of changes.
It is bigger compare before and there are lots of unique designs there.
Also I was shocked to see the Noah's Ark there and since it was Easter,
there are lots of big Easter eggs there.





Birthday month freebie:
If it’s your birthday you will get a free snack and a discount coupon.
It is located on the lower floor or the first counter you will see 
that sells  picture ( I guess ?) .
They will ask for an ID or your passport as a proof that it is your birth month.







Next is Trick Eye museum

Now this is new and a one of a kind museum.
When you first enter, it is quite creepy since most of the designs are surreal. 
The moment you enter your imagination and photography skills will really challenge you.
Make sure to bring your friend/s, trust me you would really enjoy here.





Another new attraction is the Crane Dance.

Singaporeans are really innovative.
who would thought they can do a spectacular thing like this.I'm not sure about it but it tells a romantic story~ 
Also this is Free.
For the Dinner we went to the Beach station area.
There are lots of restaurants there.
Then go back to the hotel to prepare for tomorrow's premiere event.

Singapore 2016 -The Huntsman: Winter’s War Premiere Red carpet + Meet and Greet (April 3) ‪#‎TheHuntsman

The Huntsman: Winter's War Premiere

Universal Studios Singapore
 Who would thought that I can watch  The Huntsman: Winter's War Premiere in Singapore. Witnessed the stunning cast strut the red carpet and meet them privately.

Earlier that day, lots of people are lining up to enter USS and also to catch a glimpse of 
The Huntsman: Winter's War Premiere Red carpet .
It was really hot that morning and in the afternoon it was pouring rain, that's why we are kinda worried if the red carpet will be canceled or not.
Luckily the rain stopped :).






By 4:00pm all of the winners must meet at the hotel's lobby for the briefing.
Also we were given passes so that staffs can identify us easily.
The USS Hollywood street  was occupied for the huntsman premiere.
Winners have a designated fanbox near the end of the red carpet.
We have a  chance to let the casts signed our poster and take a selfie with them.While waiting for them the host had a Q&A to the fans and if your answer is correct
 you'll get the shirt /pass to see the movie.
( i thought they would sell the shirts in USS the next day but they don't, I seriously want it T.T) 

Red Carpet :

First Cedric Nicolas-Troyan (director) , he is so jolly and jumpy. 
Such a fun guy and we kinda photobombed his solo shot from the media :) . Next was Jessica Chastain as Sara , the first to arrived (as a cast) but last to finished the red carpet walk.
Why ? It’s because SHE NEVER MISSES (nope not the bow and arrow) to talk to her fans.
I got a chance to take a selfie with her and got her signed the poster.
Chris Hemsworth as the hunstman ,wow we were really stunned.
we were really shouting when he arrived at our place.
He signed our poster and took our phones to take a selfie with us.
OMG HE HOLD OUR PHONES.
the last was Charlize Theron as Queen Ravenna, love her hair, love her gown and I just love her.
She kinda walk fast but we understand since the weather was really hot that time.


Next, what I’ve been waiting for was the meet and greet.
We were grouped in 2 groups with the winners from different countries.
We went to a private room where the cast was there.
I was shocked for there are no barriers in between us.
It was really a meet and greet.
When the host announced we were the winners.
I was the one who first entered the room, and everyone was like congratulating me.
And I was there stunned in front of them.
Charlize congratulated me, she has an elegant aura like a queen ~~so majestic
Jessica was really nice and friendly. I really got a warm feeling from her.
I also got a sweet hug from her, I just love her. 
Chris Hemsworth Handshake ~ OMG his handsssssss !! 
His voice is so deep when he congratulates us.
I am internally screaming the whole time 
I still can’t believed that I had a chance to meet then that close.


All of them are so friendly. Love them.



After that we were transferred to the cinema, it was huge.
The winners have a designated seats and was offered free popcorns from USS,
The cast were talking about the movie.
Chris was joking that everyone should take their phones out , take a video  and upload it in.
(which I did hahaha)
Jessica talks about her warrior character in the movie and the connection in the 1st movie.
When asked how Chalize can be evil?
Chris jokes that "it comes natural".
 



The movie:
It was spectacular.
Let’s just say that it has two sides of the story.
Who would thought Sara was alive all a long.Can't spoil ^^
Though I still have 1 question about the movie~ (never thought that the queen has a sister, where was her brother that time ?)And as a cosplayer, I love their costumes.
Like how did they made it, where do they buy those fabrics and leathers.
Freya and Ravenna's gowns are so majestic and the patterns are so pretty.
Are those handmade ?


Aside from the meet and greet
I was glad to make new friends from different countries that has the same hobby with me.
All of us are actually helping each other to take photos during the meet and greet.
(also I just discovered I'm the youngest in the group of winners)

By the end of the day we were tired and went back to the hotel immediately.
But when I opened our room I was shocked that the room is already on,  at first I thought it wasn’t ours or the hotel cleaner forget her key inside.

Then I remembered I requested a birthday cake for my mom from the Festive Hotel, and they gave it for free.
