Singapore day2 : Tekka (Little India)

July 21 ,2015

Tekka Wet Market in Little India, Singapore
Business time is around 10am until 5-6pm

I noticed that the place is quite small compared to Mustafa
What I like about this place is 1st the clothes is really cheap. You can buy some Indian clothes
at S$ 15 and the designs are superb !
There are different types of Indian clothes :
1. Sari-  this garment has 4-9 meters in lengths and widely used in India.
2. Salwar Kameez mostly worn in Northern part of India, it is called Punjabi in Southern part of India
If you are familiar with bollywood movies, this is used a lot by actresses.
A Salwar Kameez is mostly partnered with dupatta (scarf to cover the head or shoulder).
3.Lehenga Choli -one of the most exensive clothing i have seen in my life.
Lots of beautiful designs to choose from, it is  mostly worn during festivals and marriage ceremonies.
4.Kurti- Casual wear, it is partnered with churidar (narrow pants),legging or jeans.

They have different sizes that are available in Tekka.

I was looking for some tikka (it's like a bracelet and the ring is attached)  and mom bought some clothes here. Since I can’t find it, I just roamed around here.
The bangles and clothes here are really affordable and what nice about this place is that you can bargain.

-end :)
