Japan 2015 - Osaka: Umeda Sky Building + Dotonbori #JAFUNtasticDuo #CEBTravels

Osaka : Umeda Sky Building, Dotonbori

Left early to go to Osaka.
Since we are JRpasses users it was easy for us to reserve a seat in the Shinkansen/Bullet train.
From Tokyo station to Shin-Osaka station by Shinkansen it would take 3 hours.
They are selling foods and drinks inside the shinkansen, a little bit expensive comapare to the station's price.

Amazed by the Naruto wall in the subway. Someone told us there was an exhibit ongoing near the station. Great marketing skills !

No problem taking the train there, just use google map or if it's quite difficult
just check the maps there, romanji is available .If its still difficult you can ask the station officer.

Romanji is available

UMEDA SKY Building

This was a little bit difficult to find and it is kinda far but once you arrived there you will
be amazed by the architectural design of it.
Compared to the pictures and seeing it for yourself is really different.
Once you got to the top you need to pay for a fee to get to the observatory.

Inside the building, there's a lounge are there where you can just chill if you are not ready to go to the top floor.

Heart locks are famous there, you can bring your own or you can buy there.

The sight here is breathtaking. You can see the sunset here and
watch the city lights turn on one by one.

Taking a picture here is really a challenge since the camera won't focus and it would get blurry.
If you are wearing light colored clothes it will attract the light there, looks like glow in the dark.
No flashes.

Elevator going down to the shop.

Just a quick trip to dotonbori.

Dotonbori is famous for food shops like okonomiyaki,
takoyaki and scallops.

By the time we arrived there, they are already closing up.
I really thought dotonbori is 24 hours or they would close past midnight.
Most of the shops will close by 10:00pm

Luckily we found Yoshinoya, it was really affordable plus it is tasty.

end :)
